Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Claims Customer Service Representative to join our team, bringing a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance verification processes. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, managing various clerical tasks related to medical documentation and billing, and collaborating with healthcare providers and insureds to resolve claims status and additional documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone or written correspondence, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.

  • Assist with insurance verification processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insureds regarding claims status and additional documentation that may be required.
  • Utilize financial software to manage patient accounts and track payments.
  • Ensure that all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date in accordance with arenaflex policies.
  • Work closely with team members to improve customer service processes and enhance overall client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous call center experience in a healthcare or insurance setting is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of medical billing processes, including ICD coding, CPT coding, state and federal regulations, and financial software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance setting, with a focus on claims customer service and medical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance verification processes.
  • Familiarity with financial software applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a call center environment, with a focus on claims customer service and medical documentation.

  • Knowledge of ICD coding, CPT coding, and state and federal regulations related to medical billing.
  • Experience with financial software applications, such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Certification in medical billing or coding, such as CPC or CCS.
