Job Summary

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Legal team at a high-growth personal homeowners insurance company. As a Compliance Specialist at Bamboo Insurance, you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of regulatory and compliance documents. The role will assist with the coordination of complaints and grievances, carrier audits, internal audits, responses to Market Conduct, and other inquires. The Compliance Specialist will work under the supervision of the Compliance Director.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking, maintaining, and filing the necessary documents to maintain the Company’s licenses and employee licenses.

  • Assist with tracking and maintaining consumer complaints, including the log.

  • Maintain awareness of existing and emerging legal and compliance related developments as they relate to the Company.

  • Review product advertising and provide feedback to the Marketing department that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements as well as business practices.

  • Assist in the drafting, delivery, maintenance, and updates of company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with any other tasks or assignments related to maintaining the Company’s compliance with state and regulatory law.

  • Assist with coordination of building compliance resources.

  • Performs similar job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Familiar with standard compliance concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Knowledge of Property and Casualty personal lines insurance products

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, detailed-oriented environment.

  • Advanced knowledge rate and forms development procedures and compliance with laws, regulations, or standards.

  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work activities.

  • Ability to work with standard office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years' experience in property and casualty insurance regulatory compliance

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience drafting insurance forms/contracts

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $90,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
