Position Summary

We’re hiring Traveling Commercial Installation Technicians who are ready to be on the road for several weeks at a time. This role is perfect for adaptable, versatile tradespeople who enjoy working in changing environments and are energized by fast-paced, team-oriented work.

You will be installing mechanical systems such as air compressors and commercial fans, supporting safety spotting, and jumping in on special project builds. If you're someone who takes initiative when things aren't perfectly organized, communicates clearly, and shows up prepared and professional every day—we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot commercial compressors, industrial fans, and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with safety spotting and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
• Adapt quickly to new project scopes across multiple industries and settings.
• Read blueprints, follow project scopes, and perform mechanical installations to spec.
• Collaborate with team members and site leads to complete jobs on time and with quality.
• Proactively solve problems, communicate clearly with team leads, and execute without delay.
• Keep tools, workspace, and vehicles clean and organized.
• Represent Force Building Services with professionalism in communication, appearance, and execution.

Requirements

Requirements

• Must be willing to travel several weeks at a time, frequently flying or driving to job sites.
• Must bring your own personal tools (specialty tools provided as needed).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical, HVAC, or electrical installation experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a no-excuses mindset.
• Able to work safely in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, and move throughout commercial job sites.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, rooftop, and outdoor environments.

Work Environment

• This role requires travel up to 100% of the time, traveling between cities frequently by plane or car.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• May be required to work on-call and outside of regular business hours.
