Role Description This role involves providing nursing care and support to patients through effective communication and assessment.
- Responsible for incoming calls from patients, physicians, and healthcare organizations
- Using the nursing process and software protocols, assess the patient and offer appropriate options for care based on Triage guidelines
- Facilitate referrals to primary care providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources
- Facilitate communication with providers and healthcare organizations as appropriate
Qualifications
- Associates of Applied Science in Nursing
- RN from an approved school of nursing with current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
- 5+ years of progressive clinical RN experience in acute care setting for adult and/or pediatric patients
- Proven basic PC skills including Windows Operating System
- Demonstrated typing skills of 30 WPM
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
- 3+ years RN experience in an Emergency Department (preferred)
- 1+ years of Triage nurse experience (preferred)
