Lead Instructional Designer - Remote

Our client is looking for a creative and experienced Lead Instructional Designer to spearhead the development of engaging and effective learning experiences. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and development of high-quality training programs, e-learning modules, and other educational content across various platforms. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and stakeholders to understand learning objectives and translate them into compelling and measurable learning solutions. Responsibilities include applying adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and multimedia principles to create engaging content. You will be responsible for curriculum development, storyboarding, scriptwriting, and the creation of interactive learning materials. Experience with various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS) is essential. You will also be involved in evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs and making recommendations for improvement. As a Lead Instructional Designer, you will mentor and guide other instructional designers, ensuring consistency in design quality and adherence to best practices. This role requires strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, including experience leading projects or teams. A strong portfolio showcasing diverse instructional design projects is required. You should possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for learning and development, and a commitment to creating impactful educational experiences.
