Fractional CFO / Financial Advisor (Retail & Growth Strategy | Monthly Advisory Role)

We are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO / Financial Advisor to provide ongoing strategic financial guidance for an established multi-location business. This is a consultative, fractional role designed for someone who can evaluate financial performance, identify inefficiencies, improve margins, and help guide executive decision-making through structured financial analysis and planning. We are not looking for day-to-day bookkeeping or accounting. We are looking for a strategic financial partner who can help us understand where we stand financially, where opportunities exist, and how to improve profitability over time. Role Overview You will act as a financial advisor to ownership, helping us analyze business performance and make smarter financial decisions. The goal is to: Improve profitability Reduce unnecessary costs Increase operational efficiency Improve margins Build stronger financial forecasting and planning

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Performance Review Review company financial performance on a recurring basis Analyze: Profit & Loss statements Margins Payroll efficiency Marketing spend efficiency Cost structure Revenue trends Store or business-unit performance Strategic Financial Guidance Provide recommendations to improve profitability Identify opportunities to: Reduce waste Improve margins Increase operational leverage Improve cash flow Help prioritize financial decision-making Financial Planning & Forecasting Help develop: Financial roadmap Growth scenarios Profitability targets Expense benchmarks Budget recommendations Margin & Cost Optimization Evaluate areas where costs may be excessive Recommend strategies for: Better labor allocation Marketing efficiency Vendor or operational savings Pricing or revenue optimization ️ Monthly Advisory Meetings Participate in recurring monthly meetings Review financial performance and KPIs Provide guidance and actionable recommendations Help leadership stay aligned financially Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience as: Fractional CFO CFO Finance Director Strategic Finance Consultant Understands: Multi-location businesses Retail or consumer-focused operations Margin improvement strategies Has strong analytical and forecasting skills Can explain financial insights clearly and practically Thinks strategically, not just historically ⭐ Highly Preferred Experience Retail or multi-location operations Consumer-facing businesses Scaling businesses or turnaround environments Payroll and labor efficiency analysis Marketing ROI and CAC/LTV analysis Budgeting and profitability modeling Engagement Structure Fractional / advisory role Monthly consultative meetings Flexible hours depending on engagement Long-term relationship preferred
