About the Role

We're seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our AWS IT Services Support team. As a key member of our global organization, you'll play a critical role in defining the perfect customer experience and developing strategies to create that experience. You'll work closely with local and remote resources to identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage local and/or remote resources to ensure seamless IT support for Amazon employees worldwide

• Assist the global organization in defining the perfect customer experience and developing strategies to create that experience
• Help the group develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues
• Identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement
• Set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization
• Guide the team with metrics and goals that clearly measure their success

Essential Qualifications:

* 5 years of experience developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations

• 2 years of experience leading technology teams as an IT Operations Manager
• Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of professional or military experience
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with AWS IT Services Support team

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience with IT service management tools and processes
