Awarded TOP PLACE TO WORK 3 years in a row Summary: Securly is seeking an experienced Controller to join our finance team full-time. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading and executing accounting and reporting initiatives and overseeing day-to-day management (4+ direct reports) of Securly’s global accounting needs in the US, EMEA, and India/APAC regions. Duties also include managing day-to-day BPO services and operations, primarily focusing on back-office services, including General Accounting, M&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Month End Close, and other related functions. They will also be responsible for establishing a robust control environment and taking ownership of other initiatives, such as onboarding and integrating newly acquired companies and driving global accounting processes to ensure financial reporting accuracy as the company grows. This is a 100% remote (work from home) role. What You Will Do:

  • Support the CFO in Board reporting and management of the business. Includes coordinating with FP&A and Sales Ops and acting as a key Finance partner to other functional departments
  • Ensure the monthly closing process for all Securly entities, including all required journal entries and analytical review of financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and international accounting standards
  • Provide mergers and acquisition accounting advice
  • Accurate and timely dissemination of financial information and management reports
  • Establish and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting, design and implement appropriate financial controls and procedures
  • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Manage accounting team and BPO, and review work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Provide strategic thinking to optimize the effectiveness of Securly’s accounting functions globally and enable a scalable operating model and BPO structure
  • Continue to drive process improvements to the Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report processes
  • Play a leadership role in helping to scale and elevate the global accounting function to become a best-in-class organization
  • Provide month-end close and financial analysis support
  • Lead the team in optimizing the ERP (NetSuite) system, along with other financial systems as appropriate
  • Support accounting function integration, including people, process, technology for new acquisitions and businesses
  • Primary contact for tax compliance, including income tax, payroll, property, sales tax, VAT, and licensing
  • Assist with managing banking, insurance, and legal compliance

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance
  • 2+ years of Big 4/public accounting experience preferred
  • 3+ years experience as an accounting manager/controller with high growth SaaS preferred
  • SaaS experience is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics
  • Strong understanding of operational finance and US GAAP, ASC606, and IFRS
  • Merger and acquisition finance experience, including post-acquisition integration experience and purchase price accounting, preferred
  • Familiarity with Netsuite, Salesforce, Bill.com, CaptivateIQ, and Avalara is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
  • Possess a track record of success working and influencing a fast-paced, multi-unit / multi-region organization at all levels.
  • Private equity-backed or high-growth company experience is preferred.
