Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics crew, you will be responsible for:
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Work with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide essential business insights. Develop ETLs or strategies to centralize data from multiple sources and create impactful Tableau dashboards to display and quantify the effects of changes and business challenges.
- Collaboration and Communication: Engage with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Product groups, to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs. Partner with these teams to share relevant information and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems.
- Automation and Scripting: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document your strategies and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor your peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert in data analysis and visualization.
Key Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent SQL Skills: 2-4 years of experience in managing data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity.
- Tableau Expertise: 1-2 years of experience in creating impactful Tableau dashboards with a user experience basis.
- Business Operations Fluency: Ability to recognize and root-cause business problems, with a Supply Chain background and transportation experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced SQL and Tableau Experience: Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations.
- Scripting Language Expertise: Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Data Manipulation Tools: Experience with tools like Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
