Senior Motion Graphics Designer - Broadcast & Digital Media

Our client, a dynamic and innovative media organization in Washington, D.C., US , is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Motion Graphics Designer. This role is central to conceptualizing and producing visually compelling motion graphics for a wide range of broadcast and digital media platforms, including news, documentaries, marketing campaigns, and online content. The ideal candidate possesses a strong artistic sensibility, advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, and a keen understanding of storytelling through motion and animation. You will be responsible for bringing concepts to life, enhancing viewer engagement, and maintaining brand consistency across all visual outputs. Key Responsibilities: Design and animate high-quality motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and visual elements for broadcast and digital platforms. Conceptualize and storyboard creative visual approaches for various projects, from initial brief to final delivery. Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and directors to understand project requirements and translate them into engaging visual narratives. Utilize advanced techniques in 2D and 3D animation, compositing, and visual effects. Ensure motion graphics are optimized for various platforms, including broadcast television and online streaming services. Maintain brand consistency and visual identity across all media assets. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in motion graphics and animation. Contribute to the creative development process and brainstorm new visual concepts. Organize and manage project files efficiently. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing broadcast and digital media work. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator). Proficiency in 3D software such as Cinema 4D or Blender is highly desirable. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling. Experience with keyframing, rigging, character animation, and visual effects. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A keen eye for detail and a passion for visual innovation.
