StookU Music is a professional music academy offering 1-on-1 virtual lessons to students nationwide. We currently have over 35 instructors and more than 650 students, conducting nearly 3,000 lessons each month. Our modernized approach to music education ensures that both students and instructors are supported with care, clarity, and consistency. - Student Acquisition: All students are enrolled by our Student Advisors. Most instructors have a full schedule within two weeks.
- Scheduling & Tech: We provide professional scheduling software and a reliable virtual lesson platform.
- Admin & Management: Our team handles all scheduling, billing, and administrative work.
- Head Instructor Mentorship: Receive personalized coaching and support from department leaders.
Instructor Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging, customized lesson plans
- Conduct high-quality 1-on-1 virtual music lessons
- Continually refine your teaching methods and grow as an educator
What We’re Looking For
- Self-motivated, proactive professionals
- Experience teaching adults virtually preferred (comparable experience may be considered)
- Formal music education or real-world performance/teaching experience
- Strong communication and conversational skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Adaptability, professionalism, and a growth mindset
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience teaching 1-on-1 music lessons
- 15+ hours/week availability, including 2–3 evening shifts
- A reliable internet connection and a distraction-free teaching space

Special Note We're looking for instructors who connect deeply with students in a remote setting. Ideal candidates are both teachers and mentors—professionals who show up consistently, communicate clearly, and create an exceptional learning experience.
