Position Summary The School Social Worker serves as a key member of the Student Support Services team, partnering with students, families, and mentors to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth. This role promotes student well-being through evidence-based interventions, collaborative communication, and a proactive, student-centered approach aligned with Williamsburg Learning’s commitment to personalized support. Essential Duties (Top 5 Roles)

  • Direct Student Social & Emotional Support
  • Deliver evidence-based social and emotional support services to identified students
  • Adapt interventions based on student data, needs, and responsiveness to support
  • Foster student growth in emotional regulation, executive functioning, and overall well-being
  • Progress Monitoring & Data Tracking
  • Monitor, document, and analyze student progress toward identified goals
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of services and outcomes
  • Use data to inform decision-making and adjust support strategies
  • Collaboration & Communication with Stakeholders
  • Attend and actively contribute to meetings related to student support (IEPs, intervention planning, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student needs and progress
  • Partner with Special Education team members to align services and support student success
  • Reporting & Team Alignment
  • Share student progress, insights, and concerns with supervisor during regular team meetings
  • Provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders on student performance and intervention effectiveness
  • Support a culture of proactive communication and collaborative problem-solving
  • Professional Development & Program Implementation
  • Participate in professional development to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery
  • Implement social-emotional programs and interventions with fidelity
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of student support practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active state licensure as a School Social Worker (Colorado license required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with students, families, and educational teams
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a school or special education setting
  • Experience supporting diverse student populations with varying social/emotional needs
  • Strong advocacy skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Comfort with technology and ability to learn and navigate various systems and platforms
