Job Summary

As a Customer Support Associate on our EAP team, you will be responsible for providing empathetic and informed support to our members, addressing their concerns, and connecting them with the resources they need to overcome life's challenges. Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls from members seeking support with Worklife Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

  • Actively listen to callers, determining the purpose of their call and assessing their needs
  • Communicate information regarding EAP/Worklife services, ensuring members understand their options and resources
  • Recognize crisis situations and evaluate the need for immediate action, taking appropriate steps to ensure member safety
  • Conduct research in databases to identify potential providers and services, providing members with informed recommendations
  • Enter member information into the EAP system, documenting all interactions thoroughly
  • Schedule appointments for members with counselors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Collaborate with team members to address member inquiries, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Make outbound calls to assist members with accessing resources and services
  • Provide miscellaneous support, including administrative tasks, to ensure the smooth operation of the EAP team

Requirements

* 1+ years' experience in a call center environment, with a strong focus on customer service and support

  • Experience in a social, psychological, or human service field, providing client support and guidance
  • Technical requirements:

+ Personal residential internet service with a minimum speed of 25mbps/3mbps + Select broadband or fiber internet service + A hardwired connection (ethernet connection) is required

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and colleagues

  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the capacity to empathize with members and provide informed support
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using technology, including databases and customer relationship management systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in an EAP or similar support environment

  • Knowledge of mental health, wellness, and resilience principles
  • Certification in a related field, such as crisis intervention or counseling
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
