Senior Residential Property Accountant
Title: Senior Residential Property Accountant Location: McLean, VA (position is fully remote. Candidates must live in the area) Schedule: 40 hours per week Compensation: $85,000-95,000 plus bonus We are currently hiring for a Senior Residential Property Accountant with a growing REIT in McLean, VA. This role is newly created due to growth, will report directly to the Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, including month-end close entries, cash reporting, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and assisting with external auditors for year-end audit. This position is fully remote, however, candidates must live in the DC Metro area or surrounding locations. Duties/Responsibilities: · Responsible for preparation and review of financial statements for assigned portfolio of properties · Prepare month-end journal entries, record monthly adjusting and accrual entries · Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and posted in the accounting system · Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a regular basis · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all properties Required Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance · 2-8 years of accounting experience required · Residential Property Accounting experience required Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits:
