And we're just getting started. The role We're looking for a seasoned Android Engineer who can help us build beautiful, interactive apps that convey complicated ideas simply and effectively. The ideal candidate is a master at Kotlin and has shipped top consumer apps at scale. The candidate learns new technologies quickly and has strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals. Our Android Engineers have strong input to product, design, and platform design, and build the product our users depend on to improve their financial wellness. Our next hire will be particularly focused on UI/UX. We'd love to bring someone on board who is maniacally focused on the frontend of the frontend. This type of work requires attention to detail and appreciation for HCI design. In our complex domain, not all UIs are created equal—this role requires equal parts pixel pushing and deep customer empathy. Let's show users just how simple and fast it can be to manage your money! What you'll be doing
- Architecture, design, and implementation of consumer-facing features
- Spearhead our upcoming app redesign
- Setting up pragmatic UI frameworks to enable a consistent design language across multiple product lines
- Work with product managers and designers to solve novel challenges as we deploy new types of financial services
- Effectively communicate and work with other teams
About you
- Expert at developing and debugging Android apps
- Experience deploying amazing, delightful Android applications at scale
- Disciplined approach to architecture, development, testing and release management
- Deep technical foundation with knowledge of computer science fundamentals, graphics and mobile architecture
- Appreciation for design and expertise in typography, HCI, User Interface, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify highly technical problems
- Data-oriented approach to decision making, experience with SQL and/or other BI analytics tools
