Job Summary

As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you'll work with our business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions. You'll ensure that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards. You'll also manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to guarantee solutions are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, you'll act as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation teams, participate in system and acceptance testing, and extend your work based on the project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions.

  • Ensure that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards.
  • Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to guarantee solutions are completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation teams.
  • Participate in system and acceptance testing.
  • Extend your work based on the project requirements.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of data security and risk relief standards, theories, and strategies liked.
  • Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm liked.
  • Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) liked.
  • Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement is liked.
  • Major understanding of project management systems including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program liked.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical resources liked.
  • Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required.
  • Openness to Agile philosophies liked.
  • Coursework or experience related to Network security liked.
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under close deadlines.
  • Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year liked.
  • Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition liked.
  • Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic.
  • Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a cybersecurity role or related field.

  • Knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud security platforms and services.
  • Experience with incident response and threat hunting.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to data security.
