About the Finance & Accounting Team The Finance & Accounting team is the backbone of Trustly's financial integrity, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound fiscal stewardship across our US operations. We work cross-functionally with business leaders to provide the financial clarity that drives smart, fast decision-making in a high-growth environment. About the role As a contract Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger integrity for Trustly's US entity. This is a hands-on role with real impact, where you'll keep our books clean, our close process on track, and our financial reporting accurate. What you’ll do
- Manage the full-cycle general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries in accordance with US GAAP
- Drive the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review internal financial statements and management reports for senior leadership
- Collaborate with FP&A, and other business partners to ensure financial data consistency across reporting functions
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, identifying process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects and requests as they arise, bringing the same rigor and accountability to unplanned work as to core responsibilities
Who you are
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a manager or lead capacity
- Strong command of US GAAP and hands-on experience with general ledger management and financial close processes
- Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and comfortable working in a tech-forward, fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage competing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
- A collaborative communicator who can translate accounting details into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required
