Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer (Computer Vision) to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and improving AI models for object detection, segmentation, and more. This role involves managing high-quality training data, designing experiments to refine models, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the successful deployment of AI solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about machine learning, thrives on solving complex problems, and has a strong technical foundation in computer vision techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage training data to ensure the highest quality, format, and usability for model training.
  • Perform quality control (QC) on cleaned training data to ensure it is free from contamination and meets required standards.
  • Optimize existing code or write new scripts to enhance data preprocessing, training, and evaluation workflows.
  • Set appropriate hyperparameters to achieve optimized model performance and accuracy.
  • Present model performance metrics (e.g., precision, recall, accuracy) in a clear, scientific, and easy-to-understand format for stakeholders.
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate improvements to the model, collaborating with relevant teams as needed.
  • Design and document data collection guidelines to ensure consistency in future training datasets.
  • Manage training data from multiple sources and maintain an organized data pipeline.
  • Plan and design retraining processes when false positives or false negatives are identified.
  • Conduct research and experimentation with various frameworks, parameters, and architectures to improve model performance.
  • Optimize both inference and training speeds to ensure efficiency in production environments.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision research and training techniques.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in computer vision with hands-on experience in training segmentation models or object detection models.
  • Proficiency in Python 3 and experience using libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and OpenCV.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, YOLO, Segment Anything Model (SAM), or similar frameworks.
  • Experience in setting up training environments using various accelerators (GPU, TPU, FPGAs) for large-scale datasets.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly in the following areas:
  • Linear Algebra: Deep Neural Networks, Eigenvectors, Vectors, and Matrices.
  • Statistics: Precision, accuracy, confusion matrices, and distributions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and datasets simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related engineering field.

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

  • Knowledge of calculus (e.g., gradient descent, multivariable calculus).
  • Understanding of classical mechanics and electromagnetism (for candidates with a physics background).
  • Experience with GPU programming using CuPy or CUDA kernels.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning training using services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in Linux command-line environments and experience using Jupyter Notebooks for research and development.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with annual performance-based adjustments.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including social security and health insurance.
  • A fun and challenging international work atmosphere that values collaboration and innovation.
  • A flexible work environment with remote work options.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools to support your success.
  • A 5-day work week
