Fractional CMO — Lifestyle & Travel Tech

Meydenbauer Partners is seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Marketing Officer to lead marketing strategy for a growth-stage lifestyle and travel application focused on city tours and immersive local experiences. This is an advisory engagement with meaningful strategic ownership and a defined near-term mandate to drive city traction ahead of a significant summer 2026 demand window. Scope of Responsibility:

  • Marketing strategy and four-city go-to-market focus (New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston)
  • Brand voice partnership with the founder, building on a fully developed StoryBrand-based messaging foundation
  • Outreach strategy across tourism boards, media organizations, and city stakeholders. Daily execution remains with our demand generation team.
  • Video creative direction across hero polish and city-specific story cuts. Hands-on editing is handled by a separate vendor.
  • Monthly one-page GTM plan, partnership target list, and message architecture

Candidate Profile:

  • Seven or more years in consumer marketing, ideally within lifestyle, travel, hospitality, or experiential technology
  • Demonstrated track record building partnership-led growth motions (media, tourism, brand collaborations) rather than pure paid acquisition
  • Comfort directing strategy across multiple channels (organic, partnerships, content) without ownership of daily execution
  • Experience working with founder-led teams and partnering on brand voice development
  • Self-directed working style suited to fractional engagements

Engagement Specifications:

  • Weekly 30 to 45 minute working sync with delivery lead and operations
  • Monthly deliverables: GTM plan, message pack, partnership target list, video creative direction
  • Three-month initial commitment with extension based on traction
