Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving technical issues, and ensuring their complete satisfaction with our products. This is a 100% remote position, working night shift (Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 5 AM PST). Key Responsibilities

* Respond to consumer calls and emails regarding problems, installation instructions, and general product information

  • Answer high-volume incoming technical support calls and provide knowledge to consumers, directing them to the proper source if necessary
  • Handle a strong volume of calls with tact, diplomacy, and strong consumer service orientation in accordance with company guidelines
  • Complete information on computer screens with all pertinent data while working with consumers over the phone
  • Respond to consumer repairs and requests according to Consumer Service procedures
  • Evaluate product problems, determine if product needs to be scrapped or if it can be repaired
  • Assist consumers with product information, such as installation techniques, product features, and models, as requested by the Consumer Service Supervisor

Top Skills and Qualifications

* At least one year of experience in a product-based customer support function and/or call center environment (preferred but not required)

  • Previous experience in the hardware and home improvement industry (preferred)
  • Technical mindset and willingness to learn (most of this position is self-taught)
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
  • Type 35+ WPM
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French (a plus)
  • Problem-solver with the ability to deal with customers (internal and external) in difficult situations
  • Basic mechanical aptitude

Compensation and Benefits

* Pay range: $18.00 - $18.00/hour
