Tableau Developer (Business Intelligence Analyst)
This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States Description: CTG is seeking to fill a Tableau Developer (Business Intelligence Analyst) position for our client.
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 6 months
- Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data visualization solutions.
- Stand up, configure, and administer Tableau environments (Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
- Optimize performance of dashboards, data extracts, and queries for scalability and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases and data warehouses.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions.
- Implement and maintain data security, governance, and role-based access controls.
- Support ongoing enhancements, troubleshooting, and user support for BI solutions.
- Participate in Agile or iterative development processes, including sprint planning and reviews.
- Skills:
- Strong Tableau development expertise, including dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, and data blending.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases and data warehouses.
- Experience administering Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and access controls.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Snowflake (preferred).
- Exposure to complementary BI/analytics tools such as Power BI or Alteryx (nice to have).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Proven experience standing up and administering Tableau environments (Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud).
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level BI and analytics solutions.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Tableau certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst, or Tableau Server Certified Associate are a plus.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $59.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
