Senior Cloud Data Engineer - GCP - (26050702)

Seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to help build and own production cloud data pipelines focused on cloud asset, billing, and FinOps-related data. This is a highly hands-on, GCP-focused role requiring strong Python engineering skills, production pipeline ownership, and the ability to work independently and proactively on a lean team. The ideal candidate has experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating with cloud/vendor APIs, troubleshooting production systems, and managing cloud-native infrastructure in production environments. Key responsibilities include building new pipelines for cloud asset types, integrating with multiple cloud/vendor APIs, and helping scale a critical cloud data platform. PLEASE NOTE - This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in the Atlanta or Austin area for occasional onsite needs. This is a W-2 long-term contract opportunity supporting a Fortune 50 enterprise client. Requirements:

• Senior-level experience supporting large enterprise cloud environments
• Strong Python and SQL
• GCP / BigQuery
• Production ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows, Composer/Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
• Terraform / IaC, including working independently within existing Terraform repos
• Building and maintaining cloud data pipelines in production
• API ingestion and cloud/vendor platform integrations
• Practical AI-assisted development experience using tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.
• Comfortable operating as a self-starter with significant ownership and autonomy
• FinOps or cloud billing data exposure is nice-to-have

• Must reside in the Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX metro area and be willing to occasionally work onsite
• This is a W-2 only, fully remote contract opportunity (no C2C)
• We are unable to offer any form of work authorization sponsorship, now or in the future. This includes F-1 visa holders on OPT or STEM extensions
• You must be exclusively dedicated to this role during Standard Eastern Time business hours (full-time)
• To meet the client's cybersecurity requirements, contractors are expected to have their camera on during meetings, collaboration sessions, etc. for the first 90 days of the assignment. Additionally, all work must be performed from within the United States for the duration of the assignment.
