Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Micronaut, and cloud-native technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Designers to deliver high-quality software solutions in Agile environments. Implement secure, performant, and maintainable software following OWASP principles, testing standards, and engineering best practices. Contribute to system architecture, CI/CD processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to support scalable product development. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Java-based backend development. Hands-on experience with Java ecosystem technologies including Spring Boot and Micronaut. Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit and software quality best practices. Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle. Familiarity with Git/GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD tools such as CircleCI. Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or iterative software development environments. Strong understanding of backend system architecture, APIs, and scalable software design principles. Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles aligned with OWASP standards. Strong analytical, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Preferred Skills: Experience with GCP and cloud-native architectures. Familiarity with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, or Square. Knowledge of e-commerce workflows including checkout, subscriptions, and order management. Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
