Job Summary: The Network Project Manager will be responsible for the overall lifecycle of circuit order management, to include ensuring that circuit orders are properly placed, tracked, delivered, and if necessary, escalated to guarantee progress. The Network Project Manager is also responsible for noticing and processing circuit disconnects in the system, as well as with the various vendors. This role will support the Engineering department in multiple ways, including updating purchase order information from migrations and auditing orders that may have missing information. Duties and Responsibilities: Placement of circuit orders (new orders, Re-term orders, MAC re-term orders, disconnects, x-connects) Management of the overall circuit delivery process, including communicating to internal and external partners, escalation with vendors for quick installs, follow through to circuit delivery, testing and completion Managing and processing circuit orders through our internal tracking system Circuit ordering and provisioning process, particularly the ordering / disconnect process with vendors. Support the Engineering group with system updates, modification work for system cleanup, audit internal system for missing information and update accordingly Qualifications: Experience in telecommunications order and provisioning of Wave (10G, 100G), Dark Fiber, NNIs, POPs, Power/Space, MMR Cabling, Cross Connects Extensive experience ordering on-net and off-net services 1-3 years project management experience - Monitoring status of projects, thoroughly deals with project details, holds project owners accountable, delivers clear, accurate depiction of status Proven ability to interface directly with internal teams and external vendors Competencies: Highly organized, detail oriented, self-starter, superior communication skills Ability to quickly learn vendor portals for circuit ordering, circuit disconnects and circuit inventory Demonstrates good written, oral and listening skills; delivers effective presentations; has good listening skills; keeps others informed as appropriate. Meets deadlines; works independently; accountable; maintains focus; punctual, manages time effectively.
