A Day in the Life Within the Medical Surgical group, you will report to the Endoscopy Operating Unit, which offers a comprehensive portfolio of products for therapeutic and diagnostic digestive endoscopy. You will be part of the Central regional team, managing an innovative portfolio that includes capital equipment and consumables for the diagnosis and treatment of hepatology and gastroenterology conditions. This is a remote position, with an expectation to be based in Madrid. As Regional Sales Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the coordination, functional management, strategic development, and leadership of all regional sales activities for the Endoscopy business. You will define, implement, and drive the strategic direction, execution, objectives, and targets for the Endoscopy business in Spain, in alignment with country and regional strategies, to maximize profitable sales growth and market share. You will ensure the effective allocation and use of Medtronic resources, identify and develop talent, and build a high performing, results driven team that strengthens Medtronic’s reputation in the market. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of the regional sales team to achieve established sales targets Develop and implement business strategies for existing and prospective accounts Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales team to execute the organization’s overall sales strategy within the assigned region Build and maintain strong relationships with key account stakeholders and cross functional partners to support sales, market development, service initiatives, and clinical programs Identify growth opportunities and develop new programs aligned with sales objectives to increase market share Evaluate the need for new sales programs and processes, conduct competitive analyses, and implement appropriate strategies Coach and develop sales representatives on product and technical knowledge, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and effective selling techniques to ensure achievement of sales targets Required Knowledge and Experience: Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, Biology, or another relevant advanced degree At least 10 years of experience in the medical industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role Demonstrated strong selling techniques and strategies, including clinical selling, with a proven track record of success in previous roles Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken Advanced negotiation skills and strong strategic thinking Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others and communicate effectively Ability to perform effectively in highly competitive markets Medtronic is committed to safeguarding the principle of non-discrimination in employment on the basis of sex, sexual orientation or gender identity, as set out in Article 14 of the Constitution and Articles 17 and 18 of the Workers' Statute, as well as Organic Law 3/2007 of 22 March on effective equality between women and men and Law 4/2023 for the real and effective equality of transgender people and the protection of LGTBI rights.
