VP, Marketing and Franchise Location: Culver City, CA or remote Reporting to: Founder & CEO Salary: $125,000 - $250,000/ Annually (Depending on Experience) Pocket.watch is the first and largest next-gen creator media company, partnering with the biggest digital creators in the world to extend their brands off YouTube through content distribution, originals, consumer products licensing and brand partnerships. Pocket.watch is looking for a creative and dynamic VP, Marketing and Franchise. We’re looking for a professional with a passion for content and products for kids and teens with deep experience driving audience and sales growth. The ideal candidate brings proven success developing innovative marketing strategies and implementing those strategies efficiently across all customer touch points. We want someone who isn’t afraid of challenging the traditional ways of marketing and can show examples of campaigns that push the envelope. Responsibilities:Franchise Strategy:Define and evolve the overarching brand strategy for pocket.watch, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand narrative across all B2B and B2C touchpoints. Lead franchise strategy and long-term brand development for creator-led IP, partnering closely with creators and executive leadership to scale YouTube born brands into global entertainment franchises. Establish and oversee brand guidelines and creative direction to ensure consistency and excellence across all consumer-facing and partner executions. Champion brand integrity and steward franchise equities across content, consumer products, licensing, distribution, and marketing initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with insights, studio, channels, licensing, and ad sales teams to align franchise growth strategies and maximize audience engagement. Marketing and Communications:Develop and execute marketing strategies for both new and established creator partners in support of brand building and commercial priorities. Oversee the execution of multi-channel campaigns spanning paid media, digital, social, email, PR, and integration across creator channels. Partner closely with sales and licensing teams to develop compelling marketing materials, presentations, and strategic narratives that support revenue generation and partnership growth. Lead and mentor marketing organization across digital marketing, social media, creative, communications, and brand functions. Drive the company’s industry presence through regular press announcements, conference participation, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives. Qualifications: Knowledge and Experience8 - 10 years of experience in senior marketing roles Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications or related field Experience creating and managing marketing campaigns SkillsExcellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills Proven ability to plan and manage budgets Proficiency in scheduling and project management Strong experience building and leading teams Thrive in fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Work environmentThe worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment. Physical demandsMust have close visual acuity to perform the primary responsibilities of this position. Work is sedentary in nature and involves sitting most of the time.
