Organizational Overview Our client is a nationally respected provider of health, science, and technology solutions supporting clients in the government and commercial sectors. They provide comprehensive enterprise information technology, strategic sourcing, and management solutions to DoD and federal civilian agencies in 40 states. Position Summary Our client is seeking a skilled and DoD cleared Cloud Engineer to support their initiatives in developing and managing cloud-based applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing cloud processes, ensuring that all deliverables meet user acceptance criteria while adhering to security best practices. With a strong background in Azure environments and extensive experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, and Docker, the ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor in implementing industry standards and driving continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to processes and tools Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria Manage self-directed assignments Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and other infrastructure initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice Recommend and implement industry standards Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines

Requirements

Education, Certifications, and Years of Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS) Clearance Requirements - Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher 5+ years of DevOps experience 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment 3 years of experience with application and operating system security 3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies, and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments preferred

Benefits

Compensation Salary Range: $140,000-190,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.
