Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, Platform, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing data pipelines that enable our partners to use data in a powerful way
- Working with various data technologies such as Flash, Voila, Flank, Kafka, and others to build scalable and efficient data pipelines
- Writing ETL scripts to gather and process data
- Building data models that depict the elements, interactions, and usage of our cloud infrastructure
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements
- Developing and maintaining data quality and integrity standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in distributed data processing
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Scala)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flank)
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
