Our client, a leading provider of logistics solutions, is seeking a meticulous and organized Logistics and Fleet Coordinator to manage their transportation operations based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . This role requires proactive planning, efficient coordination of drivers and vehicles, and a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics. While the role requires coordination within a specific geographic area, the initial phase offers a remote work setup with potential for hybrid engagement as operations evolve. Responsibilities: Coordinate daily transportation activities, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods. Schedule and dispatch drivers, assigning routes and monitoring their progress. Manage fleet maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs and ensuring vehicle compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of fleet information, driver hours, and delivery logs. Optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and potential delays. Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Assist in the onboarding and training of new drivers. Monitor fuel consumption and identify opportunities for cost savings. Handle any transportation-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively. Utilize logistics software and tools to manage operations. Generate reports on fleet performance, delivery times, and operational costs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management. Strong understanding of transportation regulations (e.g., DOT regulations) and best practices. Proficiency with logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and fleet management tools. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage drivers and communicate with clients. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with route optimization techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
