Position Overview: The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for managing the documentation and administrative requirements of the loan application process. This role ensures loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with investor guidelines and regulatory standards while providing excellent service to loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers. Responsibilities and Duties: Loan Processing Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness. Collect, verify, and analyze supporting documentation (income, assets, credit, title, appraisal, etc.). Submit complete loan files to underwriting within established timelines. Ensure all conditions are met prior to closing. Communication & Coordination Act as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers, borrowers, and third-party vendors during the processing stage. Provide clear and timely updates on loan status to all stakeholders. Collaborate with underwriters, closers, and other team members to resolve issues quickly. Compliance & Quality Control Ensure adherence to federal, state, and investor regulations, as well as company policies. Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system (LOS). Identify and escalate potential risks or red flags during the loan review process. Customer Experience Deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients. Guide borrowers through document requirements and answer processing-related questions. Qualifications and Skills: Two years minimum processing in a correspondent lending environment Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in DU/DO, LP, GUS, FHA Connection, VA Portal Knowledge of a variety of loan programs including FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA and MHFA Ability to calculate income, including self-employed borrowers Acute attention to detail Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and organizational abilities Proficiency with mortgage processing systems and Microsoft office Benefits: Competitive compensation reliant on ability and experience Excellent benefits package including health, pre tax HSA, FSA accounts and dental & vision Life and AD&D Insurance, as well as additional voluntary benefit possibilities 401K with robust company match Flexible PTO program Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST) The opportunity to work for the Midwest’s fastest growing lender We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
