A Day in the Life The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Medtronic’s products and services within an assigned geographic territory and/or customer accounts. This role focuses on achieving or exceeding sales targets by building strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and other key stakeholders. The position operates with a high level of autonomy, manages multiple small to mid-size accounts, and contributes directly to the achievement of departmental and organizational sales objectives. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals. Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services. Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services. Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities. Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed. Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing. Required Knowledge and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Relevant experience includes sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences. Proven ability to manage multiple small to mid-size accounts independently with general supervision. Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and expanding existing accounts. Ability to understand market dynamics, pricing structures, and competitive landscapes. Experience recommending adjustments to sales strategies or account tactics to improve outcomes. Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations. Ability to exercise sound judgment within defined procedures and practices. Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory as required.
