Role requires candidates based In: US Southeast or Midwest As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for managing Luxe host accounts and supply acquisition of high quality inventory in your given geographies. Focusing on these responsibilities, you will build Airbnb Luxe’s market presence in your assigned regions in collaborating with other teams as the market expert. As someone who knows the Airbnb mission and values inside out, you will proactively support new and existing Luxe hosts to drive account optimization, acquisition, and growth. You will also work closely with Luxe Guest Services and Luxe Content & Quality teams, as well as cross functional teams to drive outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Grow portfolio through supply acquisition from existing hosts and/or by signing net new hosts
  • Onboard new high quality supply from assigned accounts
  • Add net new hosts by qualifying and moving leads through the funnel as quickly as possible, achieving defined quarterly goals. Provide fully qualified hosts and listings to the onboarding team.
  • Prospect new potential hosts through external research, networking, and partnerships with luxury homes & real estate professionals.
  • Expertly position and communicate Airbnb Luxe’s value proposition to new partners whether by phone or email
  • Find supply in and launch new markets: Own market launches including supporting lead generation and coordinating cross functionally with home quality, guest services, and other teams.
  • Support onboarding of all listings for assigned hosts
  • Build and manage partner relationships within assigned territory
  • Hold regular optimization calls and business reviews with partners to understand challenges and identify opportunities to optimize territory; provide data-driven insights and take actions to support hosts to meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals
  • Improve listing bookability for a set of assigned Luxe host accounts
  • Create and deploy scaled strategies to effectively manage & optimize long-tail Luxe Hosts in your region
  • Educate hosts on all significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software partners so that you can provide the right support to your clients
  • Develop strong and long lasting partnerships to ensure long term market success

Skills:

  • Handle host escalations
  • Be the POC for internal and cross-functional teams (Guest Services, Content & Quality, etc.) for escalated issues relating to assigned hosts
  • Be an effective “air traffic controller”, routing host requests when support from other team members is needed, while remaining accessible to hosts
  • Market analysis and trends
  • Understand desirable vs undesirable neighborhoods, pricing trends, home types and design themes, competitors, etc.
  • Understand market dynamics and develop localized pitches for the right homes
  • Understand the following: Neighborhoods, available supply types/design themes vs what works for Lux, pricing trends, seasonality, competitors
  • Other host-related initiatives that may arise

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with sales and account management background as well as an understanding of strategic partnerships and/or marketing and operational experience
  • Experience working in luxury travel or real estate, in a capacity where you had to work cross-functionally and across diverse teams to influence change
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to effectively influence top leaders internally and externally within the industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills
