Draftsman / AutoCAD - 3 YRS Glass & Glazing EXP REQ.
Commercial glazing company is looking to grow our project management team by hiring an on-staff draftsman and CNC Programmer. Depending on level of experience this person may be asked to take on Project Management duties in between drafting jobs. This newest member to our team will work directly with our estimator, PM team, and field staff as needed completing projects in accordance with the contract and schedule. Role is full-time and in-person in Clearwater, FL. After one month, remote work for several days per week is negotiable. Responsibilities include
- Generating shop drawings in AutoCad
- Reviewing and updating shop drawings
- Reviewing architectural and shop drawings for any possible discrepancies.
- Following up on RFI's with clients and architects
- Programming CNC machine through Glazier Studio Qualifications:
- Candidate must have previous drafting experience, specific to glass / glazing industry.
- Ideally, candidate will be familiar with YKK, Oldcastle, Tubelite, Kawneer, and/or other storefront, curtainwall, and window systems.
- Candidate must be familiar with Florida Product Approvals.
- Must be a team player, self-motivated, with strong ability to prioritize duties.
- Candidate must be proficient in project management workflows. Rate will be based on experience, knowledge, and professionalism. WILLING TO TRAIN for a lower starting rate if previous schooling or limited experience is there. Must have some experience with computers or construction for us to consider training. Company offers benefits after 60 days to include retirement IRA matching, and holiday pay after 90 days. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $62,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year Benefits
