Account Investigator, Refunds

We’re seeking an Account Investigator, Refunds to join us. This is a remote position. As an Account Investigator on the Refunds Team, you will be responsible for timely resolution of credit balances by analyzing patient accounts for needed refund or adjustment to patient or insurance carriers. What you’ll do:Extensive investigations into patient accounts that may or may not require refund(s) Utilize knowledge of all carrier types, including commercial and governmental Apply your high-level understanding of medical accounts receivable, using attention to detail and problem-solving skills Other duties as assigned What you’ll bring to Zotec:High School diploma or equivalent required Ability to understand, analyze and interpret medical billing documentation and data Physician billing experience in one or more of the following areas: AR, Refunds, or Payments Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution through problem solving and attention to detail Ability to prioritize workload and meet specific goals and objectives Professional exercises discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team setting At Zotec, you will enjoy a network of highly experienced professionals in an environment where you can operate with autonomy yet have the resources and backing of other professionals in a similar role.
