Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Remote · USA Full-time New today

The company and our mission: Zartis is a global AI transformation and technology consulting partner where talented engineers and technologists work on cutting edge innovation. We partner with ambitious organisations to design, build, and scale technology solutions that deliver real impact. Our teams bring deep expertise in AI driven platforms, secure API architectures, and cloud native engineering. You will work on meaningful projects that accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, from strategy and discovery through to full product delivery, helping turn complex challenges into measurable outcomes. With engineering hubs across EMEA and LATAM, and long term partnerships in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, and energy and climate, we offer opportunities to work on projects that truly matter. Here, you will not just build technology, you will drive business impact and grow your career alongside industry leaders. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a project in the fintech and payments sector, working with a leading global provider of payment solutions and financial technology. The project: Our teammates are talented people that come from a variety of backgrounds. We’re committed to building an inclusive culture based on trust and innovation. You will be part of a distributed team building and evolving ARLO, a domain-driven, microservice-based payments platform. You will serve as a senior engineer embedded within domain squads, ensuring architectural consistency, engineering quality, and delivery excellence across the platform. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who is proactive, comfortable taking ownership, and experienced in building scalable, secure systems in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. What you will do: Work as the embedded technical expert across domain teams (e.g., Wallets & Accounts, Payments, Defend & Protect), guiding technical direction for backend microservices, APIs, and integrations. Provide hands-on leadership in the implementation of ARLO’s domain-driven, microservice-based architecture, writing high-quality, production-grade code in .NET Core. Establish and champion domain boundaries and patterns using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and partner closely with the Solution Architect to implement the ARLO reference architecture. Lead by example through active participation in sprints, pairing with developers, and committing to critical codebases, while supporting performance optimisation, service resiliency, and secure coding practices. Review and interpret business requirements in collaboration with Product Owners, translating epics and stories into detailed technical designs and engineering tasks. Identify gaps, edge cases, and dependencies early, and propose scalable technical solutions. Conduct code reviews across multiple teams to uphold consistency, test coverage, and architectural alignment, and define and enforce standards for logging, observability, and operational readiness. Work with DevOps and platform engineers to support Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), containerisation and deployment via Kubernetes (AKS), service mesh routing via Istio, CI/CD automation via Argo, and monitoring via OLTP and Sumo Logic. Ensure all services are built with PCI DSS, GDPR, and safeguarding compliance in mind, and support secure data modelling, encryption strategies, and data audit capabilities. Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and estimation with Product and Delivery leads. Facilitate knowledge sharing across domain teams through documentation and technical sessions, and work with QA to define acceptance criteria and validate end-to-end functional coverage. What you will bring: 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong track record in senior engineering roles. Deep expertise in C# and .NET Core, including REST API design, clean architecture principles, and production-grade service development. Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices architecture, with experience establishing and maintaining domain boundaries at scale. Hands-on experience with cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure, including Docker and Kubernetes (AKS). Familiarity with API Management (APIM) and integration patterns across distributed systems. Experience with compliance-driven development, particularly in environments governed by PCI DSS or GDPR. A strong understanding of observability, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional squads, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation. Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Familiarity with Istio service mesh, Argo CD, or similar CI/CD tooling. Experience with distributed tracing and monitoring using OTLP, Sumo Logic, or equivalent observability stacks. Background in payments, fintech, or financial services platforms. Experience with secure data modelling, encryption at rest/in transit, and audit trail design. What we offer: 100% Remote Work WFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working. Career Growth: We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression. Training: For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal. You can request from a variety of options, such as online courses (from Pluralsight and Educative.io, for example), English classes, books, conferences, and events. Mentoring Program: You can become a mentor in Zartis or you can receive mentorship, or both. Zartis Wellbeing Hub (Kara Connect): A platform that provides sessions with a range of specialists, including mental health professionals, nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and webinars with such professionals as well. Multicultural working environment: We organize tech events, webinars, parties, and activities to do online team-building games and contests. \n \n Apply To This Job
