The Role: Ilant Health is seeking a Director of Nutrition to lead and scale the nutrition component of our multidisciplinary obesity care program. This role will directly manage and develop a growing team of 20+ Registered Dietitians delivering evidence-based nutrition care across obesity medicine, behavior change, GLP-1 support, and bariatric pathways. The Director will work closely with medical, behavioral health, operations, and product leadership to ensure nutrition care is clinically rigorous, operationally scalable, and deeply integrated into the member experience. This is both a clinical leadership and systems-building role. The Director of Nutrition will help define: ● what high-quality obesity nutrition care looks like at scale ● how dietitians should interact with async tools and product experiences ● how to standardize care while preserving personalization ● how to maximize member engagement and outcomes while supporting clinician sustainability The role will also maintain a limited member panel to remain closely connected to the patient experience and evolving care needs. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership Define and evolve evidence-based nutrition care pathways for obesity and cardiometabolic health Develop protocols related to: GLP-1 nutrition support protein and muscle preservation emotional and stress eating collaboration with behavioral health bariatric surgery pathways sustainable habit formation maintenance and relapse prevention Establish quality standards and nutrition outcomes metrics Team Leadership and Development Directly manage a growing team of 20+ Registered Dietitians Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop clinicians Build scalable onboarding and continuing education programs Establish supervision structures, calibration processes, and clinical quality reviews Care Model and Program Design Define: what should be delivered 1:1 vs group vs async escalation pathways standardized vs personalized interventions Design scalable nutrition programming and curricula Partner with operations on staffing and capacity planning Product and Cross Functional Collaboration Translate nutrition workflows and interventions into product requirements Collaborate closely with: Product Engineering Clinical Operations Behavioral Health Medical Leadership Help shape member-facing experiences including: meal planning tools educational modules habit-building experiences tracking workflows AI-supported coaching opportunities Patient Care Maintain a limited patient panel (~15–25% of time) Support higher-complexity obesity and nutrition cases Participate in multidisciplinary case consultation Data, Outcomes and Quality Define and monitor KPIs related to: Engagement Satisfaction Adherence Retention nutrition behavior change clinical outcomes Use data to continuously improve care delivery and RD effectiveness Qualifications: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) required 7–15+ years of clinical experience 3–7+ years managing dietitians or clinical nutrition teams Experience in: obesity medicine weight management metabolic health lifestyle medicine Strong understanding of: motivational interviewing behavior change sustainable weight management GLP-1 treatment support Experience building scalable programs and workflows Preferred: Experience in digital health or telehealth Experience collaborating with product/technology teams CNSC, CDCES, or obesity-specific certifications a plus Benefits and Perks: We believe great work happens when people are supported, trusted, and given the flexibility to thrive.
