Entry Level - Structural Bridge Designer
KPFF Consulting Engineers is an engineering design firm dedicated to innovative, sustainable engineering. They are seeking a highly motivated entry-level structural bridge designer to work on various infrastructure projects, focusing on planning, design, permitting, and construction.
Responsibilities
- Work for a variety of public and private clients on all types of projects through planning, design, permitting and construction
- Focus on structural design on infrastructure projects, including bridges, waterfront infrastructure, and other horizontal construction projects
- Collaborate frequently with team members and all layers of the organization, from interns to Principals
- Participate in social events, educational programs, and technical training
- Engage in professional growth, learning, and teaching opportunities
Skills
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
- EIT is required
- Concrete, steel, and timber coursework and /or design experience
- Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience
- Familiarity with non-linear analysis
- Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
- M.S in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis)
