SEO Specialist
Avenue Z is a marketing agency focused on AI-driven marketing and performance media. They are seeking a detail-oriented SEO Specialist to support and execute search engine optimization strategies across client accounts, improving website visibility and driving organic traffic.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of SEO strategies for a variety of clients and industries
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and landing pages for targeted keywords and improved rankings
- Support technical SEO efforts such as improving site speed, implementing schema markup, and addressing crawl/indexing issues
- Develop backlinking strategies that align with client goals. Outreach is not required
- Stay current on SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging tools
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush (or similar platforms) to track performance and generate reports
- Monitor rankings, traffic trends, and KPIs to assess campaign success and uncover optimization opportunities
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations to senior team members or clients based on data analysis
- Work closely with content, development, and paid media teams to align SEO initiatives with broader digital strategies
- Support content planning and development from an SEO perspective, including topic research and keyword mapping
- Help QA website changes, track tag implementation, and support cross-functional testing and optimizations
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in SEO
- Ability to support and execute search engine optimization strategies
- Experience with on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and landing pages for targeted keywords
- Support technical SEO efforts such as improving site speed and addressing crawl/indexing issues
- Develop backlinking strategies that align with client goals
- Stay current on SEO trends and Google algorithm updates
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush to track performance
- Monitor rankings, traffic trends, and KPIs
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis
- Work closely with content, development, and paid media teams
- Support content planning and development from an SEO perspective
- Help QA website changes and track tag implementation
- 1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or multi-client setting
- Strong understanding of core SEO concepts including keyword research, technical SEO, and content optimization
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
- Experience with Shopify, WordPress, or other CMS platforms is a bonus
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying ahead of SEO trends
