Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Logistics Analyst – Last‑Mile Strategy & Data Analytics to join our remote workforce. In this role, you will be the analytical engine behind our last‑mile delivery operations, translating massive data sets into actionable insights that optimize carrier capacity, improve delivery speed, and enhance the overall customer experience. This is a full‑time, remote‑first position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams across arenaflex’s national network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end analysis of last‑mile bundle sizing and carrier capacity planning, ensuring alignment with strategic delivery initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models that forecast delivery volumes at the most granular level (zip‑code, time‑slot, and product category).
  • Partner with Network Planning, S&OP, and Carrier Management teams to translate analytical findings into operational tactics.
  • Design and implement data‑driven solutions that balance cost efficiency with service level commitments, driving measurable improvements in on‑time delivery rates.
  • Automate data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R to ingest, clean, and transform large‑scale datasets from Hadoop, Hive, and other big‑data platforms.
  • Produce clear, executive‑level dashboards and reports that communicate complex insights in an intuitive format for senior leadership.
  • Identify emerging trends, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for innovation within the last‑mile network, recommending proactive strategies.
  • Mentor junior analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting business priorities, delivering high‑impact solutions under tight timelines while maintaining analytical rigor.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, preferably within logistics, transportation, or e‑commerce environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R, with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries and develop statistical models.
  • Experience working with large‑scale data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize disparate data sources into coherent, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and a track record of delivering innovative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter attitude with the capacity to make decisions independently and drive projects to completion.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced degree (MS or MBA) in a quantitative discipline.
  • Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow) for predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and carrier performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of supply‑chain optimization techniques such as route planning, load consolidation, and inventory positioning.
  • Experience presenting technical findings to senior executives and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Data Storytelling: Transform raw data into compelling narratives that drive business action.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external carriers, and technology partners.
