Position Overview – Remote Data Engineer (Full‑Time)

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to lead the design, construction, and operation of robust information pipelines that power critical business insights, product development, and security frameworks. In this role, you will work closely with world‑class researchers, product managers, and cross‑functional teams to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and store high‑volume user event data from a variety of sources.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Hands‑on experience with distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Apache Flink, Spark) and storage solutions (e.g., HDFS, Amazon S3).
  • Familiarity with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, relational and NoSQL databases, and data warehousing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code, with a focus on debugging and optimization.
