At arenaflex, we live by a single, clear purpose: bringing our heart to every moment of your health. This purpose fuels our commitment to deliver innovative, patient‑focused health‑care solutions in a rapidly evolving industry. With a brand built on compassion, integrity, and accessibility, we strive to make health care more personal, convenient, and affordable for every individual we serve. Our Heart At Work behaviors empower every team member to shape a culture of empathy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters

Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy is a critical hub for patients who rely on life‑sustaining specialty medications. As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be the trusted voice that guides patients through complex medication orders, insurance navigation, and financial coordination. Your compassionate communication will directly impact health outcomes, ensuring that patients receive their therapies on time and with the support they deserve.

Position Overview

This full‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity is designed for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments, love solving intricate problems, and possess a genuine desire to help others. You will serve as the liaison between patients, insurance providers, health‑care professionals, and internal pharmacy teams, orchestrating the end‑to‑end process of specialty drug fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, empathetic telephone support to patients receiving specialty drug therapy, answering questions and addressing concerns with professionalism.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, ensuring accurate entry into the pharmacy information system.
  • Verify patient benefits, re‑validate coverage, and collect copay amounts, clearly explaining financial responsibilities to patients.
  • Obtain prior authorizations, work closely with insurance companies, and resolve any clinical or accounts‑receivable issues that may delay order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with health‑care providers to obtain necessary documentation, clarify prescription details, and confirm clinical appropriateness.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all interactions, updates, and resolutions within the pharmacy system to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Identify trends in patient inquiries and proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, privacy, and security standards, including HIPAA, while handling sensitive health information.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, webinars, and skill‑building workshops to stay current on specialty pharmacy practices and insurance regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer‑service role that involved handling a high volume of complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated computer keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for translating technical or medical information into clear, understandable language.
  • Strong problem‑solving aptitude, capable of navigating insurance benefits, authorizations, and clinical criteria without supervision.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office while maintaining productivity, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months or more of experience resolving high‑volume, complex customer needs via telephone.
  • Background in health‑care settings, with familiarity in benefits administration, insurance processes, prescription terminology, and basic medical vocabulary.
  • Experience using pharmacy or health‑care specific software platforms (e.g., pharmacy management systems, electronic health records).
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience when dealing with patients facing serious health challenges.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Additional certifications or coursework in health‑care administration, customer service, or related fields are considered a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00 – $36.00 per hour (or equivalent annual salary), based on experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors.

In addition to a competitive base rate, arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and personal growth:
