We are currently seeking a licensed, motivated, and detail-oriented Remote Part-Time Pharmacist – Clinical Data Entry & Patient Care Specialist to join our expanding Drug Program Services (DPS) division. Position Overview

As a Remote Part-Time Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing clinical pharmacy services, managing patient intervention programs, processing prescriptions from a remote setting, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards. This dual-role position blends the precision of data entry with the rewards of direct patient interaction, allowing you to use both your analytical abilities and your clinical expertise on a daily basis. You will serve as a trusted advisor, educator, and resource for patients, fellow pharmacists, and field leaders alike.

This role offers part-time employment with consistent eight-hour work shifts, a competitive hourly rate of $25/hour, and the convenience of working remotely from anywhere within California, USA. Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Program Execution: Implement direct patient care initiatives, including but not limited to Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Programs. You will play a hands-on role in improving medication adherence and overall health outcomes for patients enrolled in these programs.
  • Business Strategy Implementation: Drive the execution of multiple field-based strategies and projects, ensuring that business objectives and patient care goals are consistently met.
  • Compliance & Quality Improvement: Lead compliance and continuous quality improvement efforts in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services. This includes analyzing and evaluating processes, monitoring outcomes, and implementing process changes to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that regional pharmacies comply with all regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA regulations. Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
  • Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with organizational financial goals. Execute patient intervention pharmacy programs designed to maximize financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Enhanced Patient Experience: Support efforts to elevate the patient experience by focusing on healthcare services such as patient consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and clinical or wellness services including immunizations, disease state management, and specialty programs.
  • Staff Training & Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Promote staff development opportunities and foster a collaborative, shared vision that aligns with arenaflex's mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Data & Clinical Audits: Conduct data and clinical audits, taking corrective action as needed to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure safe, effective medication therapy.
  • Patient & Provider Consultation: Provide individualized consultations to patients and providers. Use superior interpersonal skills to build trust, actively listen to patient concerns, and serve as a sounding board for pharmacy-related issues.
  • Customer Retention Feedback: Gather and provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of customer retention programs, incorporating patient comments and evaluating the value of individual consultations.
  • Issue Resolution: Take ownership of all inquiries, transactions, and issues that relate directly to patient treatment, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Clinical Information Sharing: Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans on an as-needed basis.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities to meet performance goals. Comply with all arenaflex policies, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other work consistent with the scope of this position as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred).
  • Licensure: Current pharmacist license in good standing, as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. California licensure is required for this remote position.
  • Confidentiality Experience: Demonstrated experience working with confidential information in a professional setting.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and/or weekends as needed.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with varying completion dates.
  • Independence: Proven ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and sound judgment in knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients, meeting quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including in-state and out-of-state travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-State Licensure: Ability to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses as needed to support expanded service areas.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with various insurance plans and reimbursement processes.
  • Pharmacy Systems: Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus, or comparable pharmacy management platforms.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency:
    • Basic-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., opening workbooks, inserting rows, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy/paste/save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming worksheets, inserting columns, selecting chart styles, inserting worksheets, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check, and printing worksheets).
    • Basic-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., inserting, modifying, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing indent levels, adding and editing text, changing views, inserting tables or notes, moving objects, printing in outline view, and running slide shows).
    • Basic-level proficiency in Microsoft Word (e.g., opening documents, cutting, pasting, and editing text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, images, and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane, and print functions).
