Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Analyst – Business Intelligence & Analytics to join our dynamic analytics team in Louisiana. In this role, you will partner with product, operations, and engineering groups to translate raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization. You will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that enable stakeholders to measure performance, identify opportunities, and solve complex business problems.

This full‑time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $27, a supportive work environment, and a clear path for professional growth within arenaflex’s expansive ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, operations leaders, and engineering teams to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical requirements.
  • Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) that provide real‑time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Pipeline Management: Own end‑to‑end data workflows, from extraction and transformation to loading (ETL), ensuring data quality, reliability, and scalability.
  • Statistical Analysis & Modeling: Apply statistical techniques and machine‑learning methods (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to uncover trends, forecast demand, and support predictive analytics initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement: Define, track, and communicate success metrics for cross‑functional projects, helping teams evaluate progress and iterate quickly.
  • Data Governance & Documentation: Establish best practices for data stewardship, maintain comprehensive documentation, and champion a data‑driven culture across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Enablement: Conduct training sessions and create self‑service tools that empower business partners to explore data independently and make informed decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in existing analytics processes, propose automation solutions, and implement enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, data‑intensive environment, preferably within a consumer‑focused or e‑commerce organization.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, including experience with data manipulation libraries (pandas, dplyr) and statistical modeling packages.
  • Demonstrated experience turning raw data into clear, actionable business insights that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with time‑series analysis, A/B testing, and KPI definition for product and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑starter attitude with a customer‑centric mindset and a passion for solving ambiguous problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery (note: replace any specific vendor references with generic terms if needed).
  • Background in functional testing, quality assurance, or product analytics, with a track record of improving product reliability.
  • Exposure to machine‑learning frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow) and familiarity with concepts like decision trees, random forests, and neural networks.
  • Passion for online marketplaces, gaming, or digital entertainment ecosystems.
  • Experience building data‑driven solutions for large‑scale events or seasonal peaks.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑backed solutions.
  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of SQL, Python/R, and modern BI tools; comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Business Insight: Understanding of e‑commerce operations, supply‑chain dynamics, and customer behavior analytics.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of partnering with cross‑functional teams and influencing decision‑makers.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to craft compelling narratives around data findings.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a high‑velocity environment where priorities shift rapidly and new challenges emerge daily.
