About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as the frontline ambassador for our clients, providing service support and resolution of routine problems regarding client products and services. This onsite position in Pittsford, NY, involves interfacing with customers via inbound and outbound calls, as well as through internet-based communication channels. Your primary mission will be to ensure every customer interaction leaves a positive, lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Interface with customers via inbound calls, addressing questions, concerns, and issues that require additional support beyond initial self-service resources.
  • Problem Resolution: Achieve specific support and resolution outcomes on every call, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Needs Assessment: Use scripted responses and probing techniques to determine customer needs, then offer the most appropriate advice, solutions, or services for their particular situations.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain broad, up-to-date knowledge of client products and services to provide accurate information and recommendations.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in the company's CRM system.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) including call handling time, customer satisfaction scores, and first-call resolution rates.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, soft skills, and career competencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve complex customer issues.

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for individuals whose skills, integrity, knowledge, and genuine compassion will deliver value and success with every customer interaction. To qualify for this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma and/or GED (required)
  • Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience (preferred, but not always required)
  • Residence within a 25–35 mile radius of our Rochester, NY site
  • Strong PC knowledge and computer navigation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
  • The ability to work rotational shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • A customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Skills and Competencies

While not required, the following skills and attributes will help you excel in this role:

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer-facing environment
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
  • Familiarity with CRM software and ticketing systems
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Strong active listening skills and empathy
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
