Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Customer Service Agent – Freight Specialist, you will be the voice of arenaflex’s cargo division. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that every shipment moves smoothly through the logistics chain, providing clear, courteous, and accurate communication to shippers, freight forwarders, and internal teams. This role is pivotal to maintaining arenaflex’s reputation for on‑time delivery and exceptional service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and chat, addressing inquiries related to cargo bookings, tracking, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with airport operations, ground handling crews, and flight dispatch to ensure cargo is loaded, unloaded, and transferred according to schedule.
  • Monitor shipment status in real‑time, proactively identifying potential delays and communicating updates to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records in arenaflex’s cargo management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Assist customers in preparing and submitting required documentation (e.g., airway bills, customs forms) and verify the completeness of each shipment.
  • Provide guidance on arenaflex’s freight policies, pricing structures, and service options, helping customers select the most appropriate solutions for their needs.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior supervisors or specialized teams while keeping the customer informed of progress.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize health, safety, and data security in all interactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and web‑based CRM platforms.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb when required, and willingness to wear PPE such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and high‑visibility apparel.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional on‑site visits.
