About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading national pharmacy and retail health‑care brand with a legacy of more than a century serving communities across the United States. From humble beginnings in the early 1900s, arenaflex has grown into a network of thousands of stores, a robust online presence, and a sophisticated pharmacy ecosystem that blends cutting‑edge technology with compassionate, patient‑first service. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make health care more accessible, affordable, and personalized for every customer, every day. As part of arenaflex, you will join a purpose‑driven organization that invests heavily in employee growth, innovation, and community impact.

Why This Role Matters

Our pharmacy operations have undergone a transformative shift from a transaction‑focused model to a truly patient‑centric experience. As a Remote Data Entry & Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be at the heart of that evolution—ensuring that every prescription is accurately captured, every patient interaction is warm and helpful, and every pharmacy team member has the tools they need to succeed. This role is not just about entering data; it is about building trust, supporting health outcomes, and laying the foundation for a rewarding career in health‑care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Verification: Use arenaflex’s pharmacy management system to input patient and medication information, verify prescription accuracy, and flag potential drug interactions.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet patients (virtually or in‑store), answer product and service inquiries, and resolve concerns to ensure a seamless, pleasant experience.
  • Support the Pharmacist: Work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with dispensing, inventory checks, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Cash Handling & Transaction Management: Accurately record all cash transactions, process payments, and reconcile registers at the end of each shift.
  • Phone Triage: Answer incoming calls that do not require pharmacist intervention, including prescription refill requests, physician communications, and general inquiries.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and auditing prescription medications and over‑the‑counter products.
  • Clinical Support: Help collect and label lab specimens, coordinate with health‑care clinics, and support outreach initiatives to local health providers.
  • Quality Assurance: Report prescription errors immediately, follow arenaflex’s error‑handling protocols, and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
  • Training & Development: Participate in arenaflex’s accredited Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program, attend mandatory training sessions, and work toward certification.
  • Team Collaboration: Share best practices with peers, maintain respectful workplace relationships, and contribute to a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (required for all U.S. locations).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong mathematical ability for accurate counting, measuring, and weighing of medications.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Windows operating systems and data‑entry software.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict regulatory standards.

  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to identify and resolve prescription or customer issues quickly.
  • Time Management: Efficiently juggle multiple tasks while maintaining high quality.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort with pharmacy software, point‑of‑sale systems, and basic office tools.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset that supports peers and contributes to a positive work culture.
