Aviation Communications Transcriber (ATC)

This role requires real familiarity with ATC phraseology, callsigns, and the fast-paced, noisy reality of real-world radio communications.

- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot audio recordings with precision
- Label speakers, callsigns, instructions, and responses accurately
- Capture aviation-specific terminology, abbreviations, and phraseology correctly
- Complete task-based assignments on your own schedule
- Maintain high quality and accuracy standards — your work directly impacts aviation AI safety
Who You Are This role is a great fit if you are:
- A pilot, student pilot, Air Traffic Controller, or other aviation professional
- An aviation enthusiast who regularly listens to and understands ATC communications
- Someone with strong familiarity with standard aviation radio phraseology
- Extremely detail-oriented and patient with audio work
- Able to work independently and meet accuracy standards consistently
You don't need to be a professional transcriptionist — but you do need to genuinely understand how aviation communications work.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LiveATC or similar ATC audio platforms
- Background in aviation operations, dispatch, or flight instruction
- Familiarity with ICAO or FAA communication standards
