We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our expanding team. This is a remote, full-time opportunity offering up to $26 per hour, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and want to make a tangible impact on the infrastructure that supports mission-critical operations.

Position Overview

As an IT Business Analyst – Infrastructure & Data Operations at arenaflex, you will play a central role in providing IT service management, project coordination, and data-driven support to ensure the operational sustainability of critical infrastructure supporting our partner organizations’ IT facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership to maintain seamless operations, optimize data integrity, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role blends traditional business analysis with hands-on involvement in IT infrastructure, data entry accuracy, and project management. If you are passionate about technology, data quality, and operational excellence, this opportunity is designed for you.

Key Responsibilities

IT Service Management & Operations

  • Provide IT governance for site implementations, inventory tracking, infrastructure planning, and preventative maintenance for data center and remote communication room environments.
  • Support IT labs by ensuring engineering and application teams have proper workstations, hardware, and access needed to test and validate applications.
  • Coordinate with professional services teams responsible for critical infrastructure support and break/fix activities at remote communication rooms.
  • Manage, operate, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure for data centers and remote communication room equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all governing corporate standards, policies, and guidelines.

Data Entry & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of infrastructure assets, inventory, and project documentation.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to capital improvement projects, vendor contracts, and equipment life cycle tracking.
  • Review and store maintenance records, ensuring discrepancies are identified and remediated promptly.
  • Generate reports and documentation to support capital forecasting and project management activities.

Project Management & Capital Planning

  • Lead and support data center and remote communication room capital improvement projects, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Conduct capital forecasting and project planning for the life cycle replacement of critical airport and facilities equipment.
  • Support Corporate Real Estate projects that involve remote communication room design and construction as an IT facilities representative.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate documentation, competitive pricing, and full contractual compliance.

Infrastructure Standards & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain design standards for remote communication room space, UPS systems, HVAC, generators, and Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems.
  • Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity planning.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, air conditioning, fire suppression, security, floor maintenance, and cabling programs.
  • Maintain strict adherence to change control activities and incident management protocols.

Remote Coordination & Incident Management

  • Provide proactive and break-fix support for alert and ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
  • Deliver remote incident management resolution for critical airport infrastructure equipment.
  • Provide remote installation, configuration, and operational support as needed.
  • Balance multiple priorities within established time constraints while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with supervisors, vendors, and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to support operations involving varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements.
  • Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and sensitive data.
  • Embraces diversity in people, thinking, and working styles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree, or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of IT project management experience within a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment.
  • Hands-on experience with daily operational requirements and the operation of production systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with capital improvement project lifecycles and vendor management best practices.
