Adjunct Faculty
Adjunct Faculty – Division of Health Systems and Science Across the Lifespan Position Adjunct Faculty (Rank dependent on qualifications). Instructors teach courses for the College of Nursing and the Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program on a semester‑by‑semester basis.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher.
- Active nursing license in the State of Utah (RN, APRN, etc.) depending on the assigned teaching role.
- Educational and experiential preparation evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
Responsibilities
The major function is student learning activities and evaluation.
- Coordinate teaching and learning activities.
- Communicate student issues and/or concerns with directors and other members of College of Nursing leadership.
- Attend course‑related faculty meetings.
- Provide input into course objectives, including updates, revisions, and/or deletions.
- Maintain optimal relationships with assigned clinical agencies.
- Follow course syllabi and determine student learning objectives.
- Counsel students and maintain accurate records.
- Serve as a role model for students.
- Evaluate student performance.
