Remote Lead Digital Artist

Key Responsibilities
Define and champion the overall artistic vision and style for projects. Lead, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to a team of digital artists. Create high-quality digital art assets, including character designs, environments, props, and UI elements. Collaborate closely with game designers, animators, and engineers to ensure artistic coherence and technical feasibility. Develop and maintain art style guides and asset pipelines. Oversee the implementation of art assets within the game engine. Conduct art reviews and provide direction to ensure consistency and quality. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques in digital art and game development. Optimize art assets for performance and scalability across different platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve art-related technical issues. Contribute to the pre-production process, including concept development and mood boards. Foster a collaborative and innovative art team culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 8+ years of experience in digital art creation for games, film, or interactive media, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Exceptional portfolio showcasing a wide range of digital art skills, including 2D concept art, 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting. Expert proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unity/Unreal Engine. Strong understanding of art fundamentals, including composition, color theory, anatomy, and perspective. Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams in a remote setting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Experience with asset optimization and performance considerations.
